Every technology team shares a common mission: to develop quality solutions that
are delivered on time and on budget, meet current business requirements, and are
scaleable to future needs. But without a clear, repeatable process to guide team
members through each phase of the project, such goals are virtually unobtainable.
Results fall short and are unpredictable; testing is tedious and expensive, and
serious flaws are discovered late in the project. The resulting product is difficult
to maintain and extend, and is often a poor fit to the user's real needs.
Infoton understands this and has been very successful in implementing a consistent
methodology to address these issues. Our Infoton Development Methodology, with its
three phases of Architect, Construct, & Deliver, is based on industry standard methodologies
including the Rational Unified Process (RUP) and other industry standards, such
as the Unified Modeling Language (UML).
Our methodology is focused on aligning the needs and desires of the stakeholders
with a high-quality, economical solution. If objectives conflict, the process is
designed to show this as early as is practical to allow for appropriate action.
|
Every facet of our methodology is
- Iterative and incremental
- Object-oriented / Component-oriented
- Managed and controlled
Because Infoton recognizes thatss many clients already have an accepted process, our
methodology is generic and flexible enough to be adapted to an existing process.
Deliverables can be added, expanded, or removed as required by the client's process.
In addition, the model allows for a wide variety of software products and projects,
both in size and application domain.
|
Architect
- Identify specific details of implementation
- Analyze the problem domain
- Define and stabilize the architecture
- Address the highest risk elements of the project
|
Construct
- Flesh out the architecture baseline
- Coding and testing occurs
|
Delivery
- Implementation and support phase of solution development
